Guitar Lessons
If you've never picked up a guitar (acoustic or electric), you'll be surprised at how quickly you can be playing. If you've hit a plateau, or want to deepen your playing skills, we'll work on the songs that inspire you. Typically lessons are $35/hr (with a military/student discount available), and there's a one-time intro offer of buy 4 lessons, get the 5th free. By the end of 5 hours of instruction, you'll be playing AND singing some of your favorite songs. There are days and times available throughout the week; JCB Music is centrally located in downtown San Diego, easy to get to with convenient parking. Get more out of your voice. Effective techniques to help you unlock your full vocal potential. How we feel and what we think about our own voice can greatly shape our singing. I will help you identify and change unuseful programming.
Songwriting & Performance
It's important to hone and tighten your songs, (particularly when you embark on recording them). Sometimes the simplest things, like in what key to sing the song, can have a profound effect. Think of me as a song doctor, providing feedback on key changes, bridges, song structure, and of-course help in avoiding the lyric cliches. Then after your songs get polished and it's time to make a CD, I'll record and produce them with you.
